Originally released in 2009, Geist: The Sin-Eaters was a sleeper hit for the Chronicles of Darkness, finally bringing “life” to the realm of ghosts and death. And now this game of second chances gets a second edition, with Geist: The Sin-Eaters 2nd Edition, offering a revised and updated rules system and an expanded setting.

So, I'm going to talk about our reward distribution, and then I'm going to have our final reward status summary for this project!
ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE
You may remember during our campaign we unlocked a collection of Ready-Made Characters and an Introductory Scenario. During development over the past years, those projects were merged into a complete Jumpstart product, called One Foot in the Grave. And now it's finally ready to be shared!
The Final Reward!
Like every city, Rochester has its ghosts — and like other cities, it has those who prey upon and those
who aid the dead. The machinations of a young but powerful Reaper, the Iridescent Maggot, threaten one
of the dead patrons of Rochester’s ghost community, and there are none who can stand against it. None,
that is, save the Sin-Eaters of Rochester, who will brave even the Underworld to keep their city safe.
One Foot in the Grave contains:
A full introductory story designed to guide players and Storytellers into the world of Geist: The Sin-Eaters.
Nine ready-to-play characters.
Abbreviated rules, including everything needed to play out the story.
Story hooks to extend play into a full Chronicle.

BACKER PDF VERSION
This is the first version of One Foot in the Grave to be released. We've sent you this initial Backer PDF for two simple reasons:
1) To thank you for your support! You enabled this entire project with your funding support and helped us achieve this Stretch Goal reward!
3) To make the final version the best it can be! The design and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, incorrect math, visual glitches, and the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.
With that in mind, it's time for the errata and correction process!
Generally, we try to keep errata collection open for the next 2 weeks, so, please report what you can as soon as possible to make sure we're getting everything covered.
We won't be collecting feedback from other spots, just this specific form.
After any needed corrections and clarifications are made (based on your feedback!), Onyx Path will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice from DrivethruRPG that you can re-download your file with the latest version.
You've already made the book a reality with your Kickstarter support. Now you can make it even better by helping us crowdsource any minor errors and corrections.
As noted, this represents our final reward from the Geist: The Sin-Eaters Second Edition kickstarter campaign. I may be in touch again in the future, mostly to check in and share any relevant information on other related projects, but this will likely be our last Reward Tracking update.

2020 Year End Update

Hello Kickstarter Krewe,
Huh, what a year, right? I know we haven't quite finished off 2020, but I wanted to slip in this month end/year end review a bit early so we could have it sorted and maybe have a quiet week! We'll see how that goes, but I hope for only good things as we slide into 2021.
Ah, 2020.
This year has obviously been full of unexpected challenges and difficult times. I know the Onyx Path team and writers were hit hard by the chaotic and shifting nature of the year, and plans and projects had to be shuffled around as situations and solutions were figured out. Projects that were expected to be completed or nearing completion were sometimes delayed, sometimes rescheduled, but never abandoned. I'm hoping 2021 is a much more manageable time, and looking forward to the results of the hard work of the Onyx Path team in keeping the machine running as best they could during this weird year.

ONYX PATH ON KICKSTARTER IN 2020
To say this year was challenging would be an understatement. Despite difficult, uncertainty, and demanding situations, the Onyx Path team continued to work on the great projects that have made us fans. It wasn't easy - schedules shifted, delays managed, and difficulties dealt with - but here we are at the end of 2020 and, despite the chaos, there are some victories to show!
Kickstarter continues to be an important part of the process for Onyx Path, and looking at the long list of projects in the works on the Monday Meeting Notes blog, it certainly looks like that’ll continue to be the case in 2021.
Rather than just take pre-order for an upcoming project, Kickstarter has allowed Onyx Path to gauge interest in game lines (to see if they should develop additional projects beyond those offered during the campaign), and sometimes even add additional projects to a game line immediately via Stretch Goal achievements. More importantly, it’s a chance to interact with the community and for everyone to get involved from the earliest stages.
Looking at 2020, Onyx Path had 7 Kickstarter campaigns funded, with one more currently on the go!
And, though the campaign still has a day to go, the recent DeadMan's Rust mega-adventure and setting supplement for ScarredLands 5th Edition has funded, which means it will get added to the list soon!

I don't have any big announcements this month - our final reward is still working through a few final production phases, so slowly getting closer - but I do at least have a tiny little sliver of art to share as a preview of what's to come!

A new mega-adventure for the Scarred Lands setting, Dead Man’s Rust contains:
A complete campaign taking characters from level 1 to 10

I'd never dress like this around my friendly Sin-Eaters, though...
The abandoned lover, waiting for her paramour to return, only to die, alone. Now she waits in her house forever.
The murdered family, killed in a spree so violent their spirits couldn’t pass on to the hereafter, now wreaking an untampered revenge on anyone they find.
The serial killer, who never made his tally complete in life, now determined to possess the bodies of the living to continue his gruesome campaign.
These ghosts, and more, haunt our world. They watch us, they torment us, they play with us, they find themselves locked in Sisyphean cycles, where the only respite comes through the haunting of the living.
It is our role to hunt these spirits down. Some believe we’re laying them to a deserved rest. Others hunt for the renown and to put down the homicidal dead. Others believe they’re doing God’s work, or with every hunt, their knowledge of the paranormal world increases.
We are ghost hunters, and regardless of our motives, it is our task to ensure the dead may no longer torture the living.
Ghost Hunters includes:
A broad, deep history of ghost hunter cells, and catalogue of weapons and artifacts ghost hunters might use in the World of Darkness.
Playable options among the hunters that fight with bullets and blades, and those who fight with belief and supernatural power. Alongside them, those hunters who would track, cage, and study the dead.
A wide array of story hooks and rich storytelling advice for those who wish to run a game of Ghost Hunters set alongside any of the World of Darkness 20A games.
An appendix containing a selection of antagonists your ghost hunters may come to face.
